Try to write a poem
Better than the Sonoran hotdogs
They make at El Guero Canelo (Tucson, Arizona)
You will not survive.
The hotdog does not need you
To prove that it is
A frank wrapped in bacon
Grilled and tucked in a bun
Before adding mustard and beans
Then salsa and strokes of jalapeno cream
(With pickled onions from the toppings bar).
Fuck your metaphor, I’m hungry!
You don’t need to make a point
Every time you write
Only, leave a little wanting.
